


M2 is the most compact M flashlight of MicroFire. Driven by two CR123A batteries or one Microfire 168A rechargeable lithium-ion battery, with original XENON bulb + 6 LEDs lamp assembly, M2 has two brightness modes.
Different lamp assemblies are available for different batteries. The 6V/8.5W lamp assembly is working for two CR123A batteries , and the 4V/8.5W lamp assembly is working with one Microfire 168A rechargeable lithium-ion battery.



Technique instructions:
Incandescent bulb is the most traditional electric light sources. Beside the dim light color, it has a good color rendering (Ra = 100), easy operation, simple structure and low price.
Tungsten xenon bulb has whitest beam and highest efficiency during Incandescent bulbs. It has a good color rendering (Ra = 100), easy operation, simple structure, but needs to put 20 pieces of atmospheric pressure of high purity rare gas-xenon, the process procedure is complicate, and has high requirement on instrument, technology and purity of the material. The price will be very high before Chinese companies can do max production.
The color temperature of tungsten xenon bulb is still low. A 10w tungsten xenon bulb at its highest power and efficiency, its color temperature can be up to 3500K, and its lifespan will be about two hours. If run it at a littler lower power with good efficiency, its color temperature will be about 3200K and its lifespan can be longer than 20 hours. If run it at much lower power, and much lower efficiency, its color temperature will be 3000k and lifespan will be very long. In the past, in order to get the highest color temperature, most tactical flashlights manufactures set the tungsten xenon bulbs at its highest power, and only ensure of a lifespan of two to three hours.
As the light source of tactical flashlight, micro tungsten xenon bulb has some advantages.
1: Concentrated in the light emitting point, its energy are radiated in the form of light and heat and put out through the reflector. The reflector should be good at heat-resistant and the system designs is not so important.
2: The radiated heat has rich infrared. Wearing infrared filters, it can be used for military purposes.
3: It has no color distortion;
4: Low temperature-color is good on penetrating strong in rain and fog days.
5.Single bulb can be used under high power.
But it has some disadvantage too.
1: Low luminous efficiency make it less effective to repress opponent.
2: The color temperature is too low to dazzle.
3: Lifespan is very short when enlarge the power for higher brightness and color temperature;
4: It has higher requirement on battery performance;
5: DC power supply is difficult to adjust brightness, and a single continuous operation time is short;
6: Brightness will decay quickly along with reduction of battery voltage.
MicroFire engineers have found that using max power to tiny tungsten xenon lamp is less effective on brightness and color temperature increase but its lifetime reduction is very significant. In order to change this situation fundamentally, MicroFire creatively introduced the use of six white LEDs with a tiny tungsten xenon lamp and combined M series tactical flashlights. 6 white LEDs have a total power of 0.5W and xenon bulbs are divided into 8W, 12W, 15W and other specifications according to working voltage. M Tactical Flashlight has two modes of brightness. Under full brightness, six LEDs bulbs with a xenon work simultaneously. LED light's a high color temperature and low color temperature light from xenon bulbs are overlapping. The brightness and color temperature is more effectively than single xenon flashlight. Under low brightness mode, only 6 LEDs work, it can provide a sufficiently long runtime. Compared to single xenon flashlight, M flashlight can switch the brightness modes and have a longer runtime. In line with the shock resistance design, M flashlights is more reliable and have a long life .
With the continuous progress of technology and processes of the bulb, tiny tungsten xenon bulb has a better performance and the brightness of white LED is constantly improving. MicroFire M tactical flashlight performance is still maintaining its strong vitality.
With the development of new power LED lighting technology, tungsten filament xenon bulb is under a severe challenge. But, we believe that, due to some unique properties of tungsten xenon bulb, it will still be useful and existing for long time.
